About Us The McEwen Law Firm was started in 2008 by Robert Grant McEwen. Grant McEwen was a graduate of Baylor University, both for undergraduate and for law school. He received a Bachelors of Business Administration in 2004, majoring in economics. He took off a year after graduating, and then returned to Baylor University School of Law to get his law degree. During his time at Baylor, Grant had the privilege to serve on the prestigious Baylor Law Review, first as an Associate Editor, and then as a Notes and Comments Editor. He also co-founded the Baylor Chapter of the International Justice Mission, was Membership Director for Baylor Chapter of the Federalist Society, was active in the Christian Legal Society, and was active in moot court competitions. After law school, Grant passed the Texas Bar Exam and was licensed in May, 2008. He went on to work for a few months as a contract attorney for various firms, consulting in cases involving document discovery, attorney-client privilege and work product reviews and log drafting. He consulted in various areas of law, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Commodities Futures Trade Commission prosecution, insurance litigation, breach of contract, fraud, and patent infringement cases, to name a few. In December 2008, Grant hung out his "shingle" and opened the McEwen Law Firm, a general practice firm located in The Woodlands, Texas. Always having wanted to work on his own and meet the very people he was helping, Grant thought that this would be the best way to provide quality legal advice, services, and representation at a reasonable price. In his off time, Grant likes to
spend time with his wife, Helen, and his Scottish terrier, Millie. He
enjoys reading, writing, travel, photography, and cooking. |
